My LOs are so tall, so we stopped using footed pjs around 5 months (when the 6 month footed pjs didn't fit any more). We use footless one piece pjs (Hannah Andersson) with a sleep sack until 18 months, then transitioned to 2 piece pjs.

@ScarletBegonia: haha i agree! they are so cute. i'm scared that if i put her in a 2 piece she won't look like a baby anymore ;)

@abbydabbydoodlebug: what size is she? My LO currently wears these: http://www.carters.com/carters-baby-girl-pajamas/V_330-631.html?dwvar_V__330-631_size=12M&dwvar_V__330-631_color=Color#cgid=carters-baby-girl-pajamas&startRow=0&sz=all&navID=header&start=56 (i think only the slim fit ones have the grippies) - but they start at 12 month size. previously she had some from childrens place in 6-9 month that had them, so i'd start there if 12 month is too big for her!

@Pirouette: We are still using footed sleepers, but I've never seen them with grips! Where do you get yours? My DD is currently crawling, but uses her foot to get around and slips without grippy socks.

Size 18 months are the last ones he wore. At age 2.5 and size 3 we have some cute Christmas ones that he will wear for about an hour and then he wants them off. No wonder all the size three footsie pjs from hand me downs all look brand new.

We use a mix, but mostly one piece at 1.5. More for tummy coverage like others have said, when it's chilly out. She won't do blankets, so she has one piece fleece sleepers.

In the summer though she often slept in just a tank top and her diaper... It's boiling in our house in the summer.

At 18 months, we transitioned to 2-piece for the summer. I expected to transition back to 1-piece for the winter, but she has refused :( She like to have her feet out and unexposed (interestingly enough, I actually sleep like that, too)! So she's in two-piece fleece pj's and socks, though the socks always come off at some point.

We made the switch in the summer, so 18 months, but have been having some sleep + going #2 issues and have had to go back to one-pieces to contain things, aka not let her have access to her diaper. ;)

Around 8 months we switched because it was summer. He hasn't worn them since. Although I did just get him one so he could match his baby sister. He wears long-sleeved, long pants + a warm sleep sack. I imagine if we didn't do sleep sack, I would do footed jams.

@PurplePeony: she is currently in the carter's 12 month with the grippies! i just wasn't sure if i should order her a few more or move on to the 2 piece pjs...but it sounds like i should stick with the 1 pieces as long as LO will wear them i guess! we ditched the sleep sack when she was between sizes a few months ago, and i just don't see her liking it if we tried to bring it back at this stage.

I plan to keep using one-piece sleepers as long as we can! We use a sleepsack so I don't bother with socks when we use sleepers without feet, since her toes stay warm enough (since it's chilly out, we use a sleepsack with a fleece lining and it's pretty toasty). Carter's also makes 12-mo sized one-pieces with grippy bottoms -- not sure if they have larger sizes, though.

I think we switched around 9 months, at the mo DS wears a long sleeve onesie with 2 piece footed pjs over the top, and then a sleep sack over that. I do tuck his pj top into his bottoms as well so it doesn't get rucked up in the night. Tbh I have no idea why we switched, I think I just saw some cute pjs that happened to be 2 pieces!

I switched DS1 once he grew out of the 12 month size which was around 8 months or so. He still wasn't walking and I don't like the kind with the plastic feet if they aren't walking. With DS2 he outgrew the 9 month size at around 5-6 months. I've bought him some with no feet and use socks. I really wish they sold they 12 months and larger with soft not plastic feet. Some of us have big old chubby babies!

We went through a phase where we only did 2 piece because 1 pieces didn't fit her slight frame (no matter what brand I tried.) We are back in footies (at her insistence.) She still wears pull ups at night so it's okay, but they will be retired once we potty train fully.
