I definitely think you can ditch the robeez store but I find that little ones are much steadier when the soles have some give like the pedipeds or see kai run. I always check to see if can fold the sore in half front to back and like a hotdog bun.

DS didn't wear shoes until he started walking at 13 months. We went straight to hard sole shoes and they've been great. It did take some time for DS to get used to walking in them. I don't think it will take very long for your LO since she's used to wearing shoes.

Sounds like your LO is ready. I don't think soft soled shoes (like Robeez) give much support, especially when LOs walk around outside, at the park, etc... So we got pedipeds and stride rites as soon as DDs started officially walking (13.5 and 12.5 months respectively).

We are still buying flexible soles at 20 months. They are more expensive than Walmart shoes but I don't regret it. We get them on sale and at outlet stores. I personally really love the Nike toddler shoes.

@Mrs. Bee: Everyone tells you that you're going to regret wanting your LO to walk because it's such hard work chasing them around. Well after waiting so many months..... No regrets here! It's awesome having a walker. She's heavy. I don't have to drag her around anymore!

as soon as charlie was almost walking at 12 months. i think they actually helped him walk. we called his adidas his magic shoes because he started walking shortly thereafter.

yay for walking! i'll be surprised if olive walks by 17 months. i think she'll be 18 months or later!

LO is 17 months and finally walking, yay! She's growing out of her shoes and I'm wondering if I can go ahead and buy some hard soles.... since she has such big feet and she's a late walker it get expensive finding big sizes in soft soles. She literally just started really walking by herself last week.
