We stopped sometime when he was 2 months old? His diaper is super duper heavy upon wake up, but no issues so far. If it's dirty, we'll change it, and you definitely know - his super stinks and he's EBF too.

We stopped early, maybe 3 or 4 weeks? I would only change it if I heard or smelled poop... but he doesn't poop in the middle of the night (knock on wood).

I also stopped when he no longer pooped overnight. His pediatrician also recommended it in order to help him sleep longer. Clean diaper, healthy dose of Desitin to create a barrier, and he's good to go for the night.

I think around 6wks when I read that it is quite common for people not to change them during the night. She never poos at night, gets a rash or is bothered in the slightest about a wet nappy. I think she was more bothered by being made to lay on the changing mat for 5mins whilst I changed her!

Once she stopped pooping over night. Then we started again once she started waking up to eat again so many times. But the changes just piss her off so we would avoid it we could.

I think we stopped around 6 weeks or so. It just makes it so much easier to put her back to sleep if we don't. She doesn't usually poop during the night.

However, she has been having a little bit of diaper rash. We've been going 12 hours now since we can get her back to sleep after her early morning wake up, so I'm wondering if that's it. Not sure what to do since I care more about her sleep than anything!

@Cherrybee: Have you tried going up a size for bed time? More surface area to absorb the pee?

Once she stopped pooping overnight. By ten weeks she started being dry overnight so I never worried about her sleeping in a wet diaper.

We stopped at around 5/6 weeks but she has never, ever popped in the night. She is a really heavy wetter though (because she drinks more formula at night than in the day!) and the past few mornings she has soaked through to her sleep sack. I'm starting to wonder if I should start changing it again....

I stopped once she started STTN (4 weeks). Even if she has a random MOTN wake up I don't change it, because I figure 99% of the time she sleeps 8+ hours in one diaper and is fine. Changing it is a sure fire way to wake her all the way up instead of a quick bottle and back to bed. She never has a dirty diaper in her sleep though, just wet.

DS is over 10 months old and we still change his diaper at least once in the night! It is never dirty but he is a very heavy wetter at night and has leaks if we don't change. However, if he STTN, we might not wake him to change it.

Also, he never got a diaper rash until he was 8 months and then got a nasty yeast rash that was super stubborn! We finally just got rid of it!

M is 14 weeks old we still change her diaper before her MOTN feeding. She usually only wakes once. If she wakes twice we don't change it the second time. Lately it's only been wet...I don't even remember the last time she had a dirty diaper at night.

So do you think we can stop changing them? She's EBF and her dirty diapers don't really stink so I don't think I'll be able to tell just by smell. She's also never had a diaper rash which makes me think she's not super susceptible to them.

When did you stop changing your LO's diaper overnight?
