He still has an 8oz sippy at bedtime. That is the only time he will drink ANYTHING, is when he is drowsy and tired and laying down. He doesn't soak through but we use Huggies overnights and Pampers Cruisers during the day. We hated Pampers overnights! He would soak through every single night.

18Mo and still having milk before bed. DS was waking up soaked recently but I went up to size 5 for PM diapers and it's fine now! He still wears 4's during the day.

We recently stopped giving N a milk cup before bed. He seems to do ok most of the time. He are just making sure that he is still getting all his calories during the day. I love that he is waking up not soaked though anymore. Plus it has cut down on laundry. (N is 15 months and a milk fiend)

We started offering water instead when she switched to toddler bed at 2. But she rarely wants any.

We're still giving him milk (from dinner) at bedtime around 7pm. Sometimes, he eats a lot, but doesn't drink much water or milk with dinner. Also, with the cold winter weather, he's not getting a lot of Vitamin D either. He can be indifferent with milk too, so I'm okay with him having some close to bed.

Once my LO weaned from BF (around 14 months) she never got milk at bedtime. She would have dinner with milk and before we headed up for her bath we would give her the remaining milk in her cup and she would drink a bit and then we go upstairs for bath/stories/bedtime. Around 2 we stopped offering milk after dinner

Yea just now at 2 and a half she isn't really interested in milk at bed anymore. She will ask for a real snack if she's hungry.

When he stopped asking

I still give my 5 yr a drink before bed - although now he prefers water.

When PT'ing I did decreased the amt he got but never took it away.

I agree with others to go up a size in diapers for nighttime!

Not sure if my response will be helpful, but Xander doesn't have milk before bed. He gets his last bottle of the day between 4:00 and 5:00, has dinner with water (although he drinks very little water) around 6:00, and goes to bed around 7:00.

hmm ok...maybe I should try going up a size in the dipaers. Right now she is in size 4, but maybe I will try the 5's and see if that works....thanks! I could also try doing bath earlier and giving her milk around 6?

LO is 20 months and still drinks up until bedtime. She's fine in a BabyDry overnight, though. Maybe she's just not a heavy wetter.

@NovBaby1112: Wondering about this too. Since we are going to start weaning formula and bottle in a month and half.
Could you just go up a size in diapers?

We still give milk at bed at 20 months, and have him in a overnight diaper a size up, with either an extra soaker pad in there (got on amazon - like a pad, but with no sticky stuff, so it soaks through and then to the diaper), or an extra non-nighttime diaper wrapped over the nighttime diaper. I know we should probably just limit the nighttime fluids/milk, but I am TERRIFIED to mess with routine.

For the past 2 nights, LO (14 months) has woken up in the morning with her pajamas and sleep sack soaked through :( I cannot believe she didn't wake up from that! I am wondering if maybe she is having her milk too close to bedtime?? We use the pampers overnight diapers and they have worked fine until recently.

How close to bedtime do you give your toddler milk?

We usually do bath at 6, she has her milk in a sippy at 6:30, and she goes in bed around 7.
