I gave up the double electric at 11.5 months, and we had enough stash to get us past 12 months. I still used a hand pump occasionally until we weaned completely at 14 months. We weaned then due to a work trip for me. My supply would have kept going, though.

I stopped at 7 months bc I got a kidney stone and didn't want to waste 4 days of milk (due to the pain meds). Honestly, I hated EPing and was looking for an excuse to stop

I stopped pumping at 13 months and had 3 months worth of frozen bm so when I reached the 1 year anniversary, I started pumping once a day and mixing some fresh with frozen and giving her only frozen for months 14 and 15 and then half frozen and half whole milk for months 16 and 17. Then full cows milk after that.

I stopped with both around 12 months, when they were fine with the switch to WCM. I continued to nurse for a bit but was happy to say goodbye to the pump!

I exclusively pumped. I weaned at 11 mpp, and at 18 months, DD still gets 5 oz of BM a day. I think I had 3800 oz in the freezer when I stopped? It was crazy.

@regberadaisy: I get about 8-10 oz now and I'm still chugging along  I figure feeding her two bottles that are breastmilk is better than none! I think if it dipped down to 1 bottle, like 4-6 oz, I'd still pump, bleh! I'll quite after she turns 1, so just through end of Dec if I can even make it till then!

I'm only at 6.5 months now, but I plan to continue until at least a year. I want to make sure I have enough for morning and weekend nursing sessions until then!

After a year, we'll see how it goes. We want kids semi-close together so I'll probably pump-wean soon after 12 months if I even make it that far.

My coworker finally pump-weaned last week--her LO is 14 months old. After his birthday, she pumped 1x per day for two more months before calling it quits, and she still nurses morning and night.

DS went on a nursing strike at 8 months and I finally stopped trying to get him to nurse after 3 very long weeks, so I EP now. I have major oversupply so I have a big freezer stash (over 3,000 oz).

My original plan was to wean as soon as I hit the 'tipping point' where my freezer stash would carry us through a year, but then I booked a week long vacation this summer. Now, I'm weaning from the pump the day we get back from vacation, only because taking 6 days of frozen milk with us would be a huge pain. He will be almost 11 months at that time. We will do 100% frozen until at least 12 months, and then slowly add WCM in increasing % to ease the transition a bit. If this works, he will still be getting some frozen milk well into 2016.

(Back when he was nursing, my plan was to stop pumping at 1 year but continue to nurse in the mornings, as long as my body would continue)

@Adira: I think that's partly why I can see pumping a little longer because I haven't had to pump full time!

With DD1 I stopped pumping about 12.5 months because my pumping output was down to about 1oz. Just didn't seem worth the time and effort!

DD2 is almost 11m and for now I'm still meeting her intake. I'm thinking I might drop to once a day, if I still get a decent output, after 12m. Give her one bottle of BM at daycare mixed with wcm and then maybe completely stop pumping around 13m?? Not sure yet! A lot will depend on my pumping output!

I'm very much looking forward to getting rid of that nighttime pump session before bed!!!
