Never. I mean the worry drops greatly after they're a great roller. But even just 2 weeks ago at 11..5 months I checked on her when she slept a long stretch for the first time in weeks.

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and check to make sure my husband is breathing!

11.5 months and I still check on her. It is so much easier now that she is a little older and rolls around in her crib. As soon as I see her roll or move to her side, I know she is okay. I'll probably worry for the rest of my life that she's breathing when she's sleeping. I check on her every night just before I go to bed.

I still check on him at least once during every nap/sleep session. My LO still likes sleeping on his back or side, but he loves pulling his A+A blanket over his face. If we move it away from his face, He. Freaks. Out. I know it's super light, and I can breathe with it over my face, but it freaks me out everytime. My husband makes fun of me, whenever he catches me checking on him, he's like "Did he make it?"

We have a video monitor and an AngelCare monitor. DS is only (almost) 4 months old, and I check it all. the. time. It's actually gotten worse now that he sleeps 10+ hours. Every morning I freak out when I wake up.

I stare at the monitor compulsively at night. We use the Angel Care monitor too. DH is so lax about it. Sometimes I get really paranoid when we forgot to turn it on. Even though K is such a light sleeper, I'll debate whether to risk waking her up by going in to turn on the AC monitor or not, and usually "turn on" wins.

Unfortunately I don't have a video monitor and at 8 months I still go in and check Lo throughout the night to see that she's still breathing. I have calmed down a` wee bit in the last month or two.

LO is 2 years old, and I have been worrying everyday for the past week. He is sick with an infection and virus and had a fever for 6 days. One night I was in his room soothing him to fall back asleep, and I could hear three deep breaths followed by silence for what seemed like 5 seconds. I put my hand on his back... nothing. Then 3 deep breaths and more silence... repeat 10 times. Finally his breathing is back to normal, but that made me a paranoid mom.

My LO is 11 months and while I worry less at night now, I'm always panic stricken when she goes into a deep sleep in the Ergo.

@PrincessBaby: we don't have a video monitor or a breathing sensor. It would have been too much for me, I think. My worries would have gone into overdrive to an all out obsession with checking on her. I work from home, though. If I go back to an office full time, we will definitely be installing IP cams!

Around 6 months the major paranoia eased up, although she slept in our room until 7 months, so I wasn't really all that paranoid when she was right next to me in thePnP bassinet. Now at 11 months, she's in her own room, quite far away from ours due to the layout of our new place, and we only really check on her before we go to bed and DH checks on her before he leaves for work at 5:30 am. Other than that, unless we hear something on the monitor (we didn't feel a video monitor was necessary), we don't check on her during the night. When I do check on her though, I usually put my hand on her chest, just to make sure it's rising up and down (even though I can see it) and so she subconsciously knows mummy was there checking on her. Lame, I know, but I like it.

He's 7.5 months and we have an Angel Care monitor and I still worry! Before I go to bed every night I go to put my hand on his back and make sure he's still breathing (and the monitor hadn't gone off). If I wake up in the middle of the night I usually go in to stare at his stomach and make sure too. I'm not sure that I'll ever stop worrying.

I definitely stare at the monitor some nights and if I don't love what I see, go in her room and check it out. Our power went out for a few hours last night and I actually contemplated sleeping on the couch in her room, but just left both of our doors open and checked on her every so often.

LO is almost 9 months and I still worry. If I haven't heard from her in a while or she is taking a long nap I go check. Every night before I go to bed I go in there and put my hand on her back to make sure she is breathing. Once it was 4am (about 2 months ago) and LO hadn't woken up at all (never happens), I ran into her room so dang fast! Of course, she was fine and I woke her up because I wasn't quiet about it. I hope soon I can stop worrying :) I wish I had a video monitor.

I still worry but only if he has been sleeping longer than usual. Like if its 6 am and he is still sleeping and I happen to wake before him (once in a blue moon) I automatically assume something bad happened.

Realistically though once he could roll well both ways I didn't worry as much bc I knew he could get out of a jam.

I still check on him on the monitor a lot (until I go to bed), and once in a while zoom in just so I can see him breathing. But mostly because I just like watching him sleep...somewhere around 6 months I stopped compulsively checking that I could see his back moving up and down every few minutes (because of course he's a belly sleeper). I don't know what changed, exactly...I think I just started trusting how strong I know he is, and that he can (and does) roll over. Seriously, he rolls all over his crib, sleeps in every position....one of the reasons we stopped co-sleeping. Little Dude likes his space.

I'm neurotic about SIDS. We've been using the Snuza breathing monitor for a while and that made me feel so much better! But now H tummy sleeps, and that makes the Snuza false alarm, and I also think she can feel it when lying on her tummy..So we ditched it. And now I compulsively watch my tummy-sleeper/face-planter to make sure her chest is moving.

I know when they can roll, the risk drops a lot. I guess I am just so afraid bc I love her so much:(
