@Rubies: Thanks- I will. She gagged when she first started eating solids so it freaks me out.

@artbee: She won't choke - there's nothing to choke on! She might gag and spit her food out but there's nothing in a puree that will lodge in her throat. Go for it!

@Rubies: She's not getting bored, she loves it! I just want her to take the next step so she gets used to the chunkier food so eventually she'll be ready for real food.

@Andrea: I bought a baby food cook book (which was pretty silly because it's the exact same thing for each food- steam, blend, and strain). It says to strain until they're experienced eaters. I think my LO is there, but I just wanted to make sure she's ready. I'm terrified of choking!

I never strained LO's food - she seems to enjoy the puree as it is (except for the peas). Is your LO getting bored of the puree? Maybe you can not strain it and make it a bit chunkier?

LO is a little over 7 months, she started eating solids at 6 months. It took her about a week to finally get out to eat, but now she's an expert eater. Should I stop straining her food when I make it now?
