We still use it at 18 months, even though DD is kind of too big for it now. Her feet hang off the end. I like the changing table b/c it's at the right height where I don't have to stoop over to change diapers, so I'll probably keep using it for as long as possible.

@Ree723 - Haha, love the octopus in a paper bag comparison. Sounds about right for my DD! Changing her on the floor or bed is way harder than on the dresser/changing pad!

Still using it at 14.5 months. If I find her something new to play with during poopy changes, it works. By new, it can be a piece of jewelry or a vitamin bottle - just something she can't normally play with. When DH's home, he changes her and we both have to hold her down.

I used a change table without a changing pad (just stuck a receiving blanket on there) for the first probably 6 months. after that I gave up and just changed him on the floor. his room is carpeted and he's got a sheepskin rug in there that I normally lay him on!

K is 6+ months now and I find myself changing her about 50% of the time on the floor or in her crib. She is just too wriggly and squirmy! I'm also finding that she is so long now, if I don't position her just right, she's kicked the wooden changing pad tray.

We never had a changing table - we used her Ikea Hemnes dresser and now the Ikea Expedit. But we still used a changing pad - she's 2 years old now and we still use the pad. Her legs are off it now but I still lay her down on it when I change her diaper.

As soon as he started rolling (5 months) I stopped changing him on the changing table. Instead, I took the changing pad and now change him on the floor... so I do still use the changing pad, just not the table.

Still using it at nearly 15 months! It's the only place where she somewhat stays in one place for a nappy change. Trying to do it on the bed after a bath or shower is like trying to wrestle an octopus into a paper bag, at least on the change table she can't really go anywhere!

I don't know where we would change her if we didn't use it! Changing her on the floor is WAY too hard, and I don't want to risk getting poop on anything else! LOL

99% of diaper changes at home take place on her changing pad. She's 22 months and definitely too long but her legs just hang over to the sides and it doesn't bother her. I have the choosee changing pad.

@Thenetexan - Does your LO still fit on the changing pad? DD is 16 months and she's just about getting too long for it. I don't want to stop using it though because it's easier to change her up on the dresser than it is on the floor.

LO is 9 months ... I use it in the am when we wake up because she's calm/still sleepy ... But otherwise I find myself using the floor or our bed (with a pad beneath her) more and more because she just wants to move around which makes the changing table scary!

He's 11+m and now it is just a game of wrestling him down, body slamming and chasing now:) Its like a warrior battle to get that diaper on. We only use the changing pad after baths when he is all tuckered out. So, I voted 10-12m, although in all honestly it *is* still used on occasion.

We always just did it on the floor or our bed. He squirmed way too much to even think about using a table. I can't even imagine how hard it would be now...I already have to practically hold him down to get his diaper changed!

As Row gets longer and older, she's not fitting on her changing pad/table like she used to. She squirms all around and it's an adventure getting her changed most of the time.

The changing table/pad is the only good place to change her in her room though: the floor is hard and then there is only a glider and her crib in there. i guess we could move the stuff to our room and change her on the bed?

when did you stop using the changing table/pad and where did you move diaper changes to?
