The camera kept resetting and pointing itself straight down to my nursing chair. It creeped me out because I felt someone was spying on me. We have a two story home (like you) and our bedrooms are all up. I can't hear her downstairs. She also won't get out of her bed (let alone her room) without permission. Strange kid! So she'll call to us if she needs something like a drink of water or to use the bathroom or when she's ready to get up in the morning. Or in the morning, sometimes she's awake and just playing with her loveys, so I keep an eye on her while I get myself ready before going in to get her. It was a piece of crap anyway. We tried to rig up an old phone with a baby monitor app but it kept messing up and one night DH convinced me to give up and just sleep with our doors open. Her room is right next to ours. She was waking up a couple times a night at that point, always around the same time, and sure enough I heard her crying right away. After that, we just decided we didn't need it and it's been fine.</p> <p>I won't get another video monitor if we have another LO. I just like being able to peek on her to know if she's actually sleeping at nap time, and if she's kicked her covers off at night. And also if she's tantruming in her room I like to keep an eye on her. </p>
