We have the first years tub with newborn sling, and just took out the sling a couple weeks go, but she's still on the recline side with a hump that stops her bum from sliding accidentally - although she loves to lift up on purpose and lay down in there. Once she can sit up a little better we'll turn her to the toddler side. We put the whole thing in the bath tub so she can splash around.

I've considered taking her in the real bath with me, but she still poops in the tub a little more frequently than I'd like before I trust her in there. I like how little water it uses, especially on days where we end up having to fill it twice.

We stopped using the blue whale tub at around 8 months, and switched over to an inflatable tub. At 14 months he's still in it and will be as long as we can keep him in it.

We used the spaBaby tub but it started to get inconvenient as she got bigger. I felt like I needed my husband to bathe her because she was to big to get into all the nooks and crannies without lifting her out of the tub. She also started to get bored in there around 6 months so I started bathing her in the regular bathtub. For now I just get in there with her and I sit her on a towel so she doesn't slide around. She actually loves bath time now that she has room to play. I think soon I'm going to get a laundry basket or something so I don't always have to get in with her. I'm definitely not comfortable with her in the big tub without me at this point (9 mos)

LO is 12 months old and we're still using the infant tub! I have been wondering the same thing about transitioning him to the big tub, but I am worried about him slipping too easily and also using too much water.

Our infant tub has one of those partitions in the middle and I cannot seem to get it clean enough underneath, so I am considernig either getting a larger tub (thanks for the idea, @littlecasita1122!) or just using the regular tub.

@2PeasinaPod: I love it too. It'll be interesting when we eventually add another one. I love bath time. LO has a blast while we do too. Nothing wrong with two people doing bath time. When DH was away, I attempted a shower with LO so that he could get clean. It was a little scary, but it was the best I could do at the time. It made me miss the two person bath experience.

We used the bathroom sink until she was 12 weeks old. We have the same tub from ikea as @littlecasita1122 and use that now when we bathe her alone. I love filling the big bath up and taking a bath with her, and DH takes showers with her sometimes. We've done that since maybe 4 weeks.

We will use ours until LO is about 17 months. Our bathtub is peeling (rental and we've had them fix it twice already), so we don't let her use it. We also have the Eurobath, so there is plenty of room to grow.

@cascademom: It's crazy how much our bath routines are alike! I mentioned "our way" to my SIL and she looked at me like I was crazy for not having one of us do bath only while the other gets a break. I think the 3 of us enjoy our bath routine every night!

@2PeasinaPod: LO loves to stand up and explore in the tub, so DH is needed in there. DH splashes him and prepares his toys with water, so it's a lot of fun to do baths. It was fun to bathe him in the kitchen especially when neighbors next door could see you doing it. Kind of funny and sweet. I like our current method with him. I catch LO in his hooded towel and get him ready for bed while DH cleans up the bath.

I usually stand in the tub with him and dad washes from the outside. We started that just before he turned 8 months. Though now that he's older, I definitely don't need to be in the tub any longer...I just do it b/c it's fun!

We still use it at 12 months in the big tub. I like that it uses less water. He just sits in it. The only time he tries to get out is when we rinse the shampoo out of his hair.

We stopped using his infant tub around 7 or 8 months and then transitioned him into a bigger tub we found at Ikea. I did a quick search and can't find it on the site but did find someone else's picture of what it looks like doing a Google search. It's awesome because it keeps him contained in the big tub (especially because he likes to stand up), there's grippy things on the bottom to help with sliding, we don't have to fill up the entire big tub, and there's plenty of room for him with a few toys in it (he's 17 months now).

6 months. We always used the infant tub in the big tub, and as soon as he could sit up on his own he was climbing out of it. He loves being in the big tub!

He hates the shower still, but I haven't tried very hard to get him used to it. We've taken showers together, but it's very hard because he flips out, screams and clings to me. He's heavy and slippery and I really need both hands to hold him. It's only worked when D and I were both in there with him, and D is almost never here for bathing time.

We were still using the newborn sling as of last week (almost 3 months)...when she pushed herself totally off the end of it and dunked her head. So...we'll switch to just the tub now. I don't want her to outgrow it - its so easy to contain her right now, lol.
