We live in an condo on a busy city street with loud upstairs neighbors. We too live in an apartment in a big city with lots of random neighbor and neighborhood noise, plus it makes me less worrisome if we are loud watching a movie or something. But my son now requests it as we are doing nap and night routine - he is attached to it and I don't mind a bit.
