I never wake my LO during the day. I would consider it if he slept more than 4 hours, but that has never happened. As long as they're growing and thriving, let 'em sleep!

I never did. Our pedi said I didn't have to because he was already passed his birth weight on our 4 day checkup. LO never napped well anyway so it was a nonfactor.

I never did, but there were only a couple of times that she napped long enough for me to consider it.

If she's gaining weight and having good amount of wet/dirty diapers, I'd let LO sleep for as long as she likes!

Let her sleep for sure! I think we stopped around 3 or 4 wks.
ETA sorry I thought you meant at night. I continued to wake him up during the day until maybe 9 or 10 wks?

Our ped gave us the blessing to let him sleep once he surpassed his birth weight at 2 weeks. For daytime naps though he rarely sleeps longer than an hour anyway. He's up to one good 5-hour chunk at the beginning of the night, though.

Once she passed her birth weight, I quit waking her. That was around 2 weeks.

DD is almost 8 weeks and previously i've been waking her up around 3-3.5 hours to eat during the day to make sure she's getting enough. now there is only one nap per day where she is sleeping after 3.5 hours, so i'm wondering if i should wake her at 3.5 hours to eat or let her sleep however much she needs?

ETA: i mean during the day! i let her sleep as long as she wants at night!

what did/do you do?
