We finished the box of 100 and moved straight into 1's. DD was gaining 3/4lb a week so I don't think she made it to 2 weeks in NBs.

Size 1s start at 8lbs, so that's what the hospital gave us for our 8lb babe. I had bought one pack of 35 newborn diapers...that is all we used.

Newborn diapers are actually more expensive per diaper than size 1s, so I'd always err on the side of too few!

We switched from NB disposables to our one sized cloth diapers at 4 weeks. Could have tried sooner but we were traveling so didn't want to deal with it.

I ended up just trying a couple size 1s and discovered they worked perfectly fine when she was around 9lbs at three weeks she was 8lbs 10oz at her two week appt). We had received a bunch of size 1s and figured if they worked, we'd start using them once the nb ran out.

DS was 7lb 15oz at birth and 9 lbs at his 1 month check up. We could have done newborn longer but we were close to running out so I switched to 1's at 5 weeks and we haven't had any issues.

We switched to size 1 around full term, so comparable in size to what you're saying. She could still fit in nb (she *might* still could in a pinch), but we started having blowouts and leaks.

I think we need to switch soon but we have about 20 NB diapers that I want to use up first. LO was 8lbs 10 oz last week at her one month checkup.

LO1 moved up at 4 weeks. He was 8lb 13oz at birth and maybe 10lbs at 4 weeks?

LO2 moved up at 3 weeks and he was 8lb 3oz at birth. We only switched because we ran out of NBs and the 1s fit fine. He was back up to birth weight at 6 days old and 10lb 6oz at 4 weeks, so probably 9.5-10lbs when we switched.

DD was 6 lbs 10 oz when born and she was in NB for about 5 weeks. She was around 10 lbs when we switched and we could have done it earlier but we were trying to use up the smaller size stuff we had.

My dd was 7lb9oz at birth also and I think we used nb diapers for 2-3 weeks. I remember being surprised that we moved up sizes so quickly! Like someone else said, I'd rather tighten a bigger diaper then buy too many in a small size.

I *think* yours might be out of it soon. I had a 6 lb 4 oz and she was in NB def for the first 1-1.5 months I want to say?

Also if I have to buy more, I always rather just tightening up a bigger size (provided it's not WAY too big) vs buying more of the smaller size.

LO is 2.5 weeks old, was 7 lb 9 oz at birth and is 8 lb 3 oz as of yesterday at the doctor, so he's gaining weight pretty quick. We are still in NB diapers, they seem to fit ok, no blowouts, but I am wondering when most people size up?

I have about 30 NB diapers left (and he poops like 10 times a day so we go through them super fast). I have a box of size 1's, but wonder if I should buy more NBs first. We've put him in size 1 before when we were running low (last week) and they just looked huge.

What was your LO's size/how did you know it was time to go from NB to size 1?
