My LO wears both, she's 6 months. She's a big girl so I bet we'll have that same problem finding onesies later.

My LO is 10 months old and wearing 12-18 months too! I get onesies from babygap. They have them in 12-18 and 18-24mos.
Love them!
She wears tshirts too though.

DS is in onesies about half the time. We prefer T's for elimination communication, but love the onesies for the colder months. Like you, we have the same problem with finding a size that fits...DS is 9 months but in anywhere from 9 to 12-18 mo clothing depending on brand/style, so Carter's onesies especially run a little thin in the body on him. I've found that Old Navy gives the best fit overall, but sometimes an individual style runs larger/smaller than the next so watch out for that.

I stopped with onesies pretty late, after he started walking reliably on his own. I had the problem of the shirt riding up as well, so he was in onesies forever. Once he started walking and I discovered how easy it was to check his diaper just by pulling the back of his pants out and peeking down his butt, it was t-shirts from then on!

I had trouble too finding larger sized onesies... found most of them by Carter's or Baby Gap.

I am also a big fan of carters onesies but I do love tee-shirts for elimination communication :) Right now she wears about half & half I'd guess. I agree that the teeshirts riding up, especially in the colder months, is frustrating! DD is 9 months.

Around the 9 -10 month mark we starting using more t-shirts but still have an abundance of onesies. I found the Carter's store has plenty of larger sized onesies.

I stopped onesies when I started to buy 18-24 month clothing. My daughter showed a brief interest in being potty trained so I switched to t-shirts to make things easier in case she did want to go. Alas, her interest didn't last too long!

yes charlie is addicted to his carter's onesies -- he uses the sleeves as his lovey so we use them as undershirts.

but as far as when we made the switch to t-shirts, he was around 10 months since it was cold enough to wear a white onesie as an undershirt under a regular t-shirt. (he started walking at 13 months.)

DS is 10 months, but in 18 month clothing. I'm finding it pretty difficult to find onesies for him. I wanted to keep him in onesie style tops for as long as possible, since he doesn't walk and when you pick him up t-shirts always ride up and expose his belly. I know they are out there, but I buy most of his stuff second hand and find it much harder to find.

When did you switch from onesies and one-piece outfits to t-shirts and separates?
