He's still under the weight limit since he's only 20lbs but he's getting too long. I dealt with the weight issue by always popping him into the snap 'n go stroller frame whenever I had to carry him anywhere further than the car to door of a house. So I never had to carry him far. It's SO HEAVY (so RIDICULOUSLY HEAVY!!!!) but really too convenient to give up, especially when I'm picking up Wagon Jr. from daycare solo with her in tow. I just lug her seat into the hall, put her down facing the room full of kids, then get Wagon Jr.'s stuff together. She can't even sit up on her own yet so I don't think we can transition yet. LO falls asleep in the bucket seat on the way home from daycare a few days a week, and it's also easier in the cold with the fleece carseat cover vs. figuring out coats/blankets/etc that are safe with a convertible seat. Even DH was like,"I feel like she's getting kind of big for this thing..." So I don't know what to do. I can't imagine her weighing 2x as much and still getting in it! You could always keep the current seat but not remove it from the car each time. I'm trying to hold out until spring to change her over to the "big girl seat" - also kind of sad to put away the bucket seat, because she's getting too big too fast! sigh.</p> <p>when did you transition?</p> <p>ETA - right now, she's over 16 lbs at 4 months. so we have a way to go to fit in the infant seat, she's just heavy! we received it from a friend after her daughter outgrew it, so we only bought the convertible :) </p>
