If she wakes from a nap, I use a 4 oz bottle, but if it's been a few hours since her last feeding, I'll use an 8 oz. Even though ours (MAM) said they made 5 oz, once you started adding formula to it there was always spillage and such. So much easier to just use bigger bottles. ACtually. *edit: I remember her filling up the smaller bottles to the top when her LO was 3 months old-ish.
