We were driving from Philadelphia to Ann Arbor, MI, which was a 10-hour trip. He still fit in his bucket seat, but was pretty cramped, and really didn't like it. No way was I trying to keep him squeezed in that for 10 hours! Also, park next to a cart stall. That way you can pull a cart out and just put the seat in there from your car. I walk to the grocery store so I usually wear her or push her in her stroller, using the under-stroller basket as a shopping cart. I'd love to move up to a convertible now but I want to wait for Black Friday sales to buy one. She'll be 8 months by then. At 4 months, the infant seat plus LO is heavy! We had some shopping to do at Sam's Club, so DH baby wore her once we got to the store, and we left the stroller at home. She fell asleep in the car before we got to the grocery store, so that's when DH carried her in the infant seat. So.heavy.
