I kept him closely snuggled against me so he wasn't exposed to much. At 6 days we went to the library, and at that point I realized those things were just too much for me post- c-section. But within a month he'd been to plenty of places; the pediatrician said not to worry about germs too much, so we didn't, even though Baby X was born in November (flu season). There were other new babies there, but no one too close to DS. Mostly we just went for walks and such. When we went to the store, I think he was closer to a month old and was in his infant seat with a blanket over him, so not too much exposure to other people. I always tried to keep him covered to keep strangers away. I HATE people touching DS. But I had him in the moby the entire time, we went grocery shopping after church. Still, nearly everywhere we go, I have him in the moby. By public, I mean a place where there are lots of other people and kids, not just a walk in the park.
