We may call close friends that day, but I probably won't post on Facebook until we are home. I didn't post anything about my pregnancy on FB until a week ago at 35 weeks. We made sure all of the important people knew before hand. I posted from facebook a few hours after he was born, so nobody was forced to keep it to themselves. She lives about 2.5 hours away and wanted to be here for the birth. He also text his family and our close friends around 6am to let them know we were at the hospital. Apparently he was giving updates the whole time. I had no clue! With my nephews, I knew when they were in the hospital. My sister, we are best friends, so she kept me in the loop as much as she could. My brother dropped his dog off at my parents' house on the way to the hospital, so my parents told me. I live several hours away, so it's not like I was goign to the hospital for any of them.</p> <p>ETA: Oh and for me, I'll probably let our parents and siblings know when we are on our to the hospital. Like I said, several hours away, so no worries about people barging in. My husband contacted his family (who lives 16+ hours away) as soon as we were settled in at the hospital, and we called my parents when I was 7/8 cms both times.
