@lemondrop: @Mrs. Sunglasses: you two are my inspiration.

If baby is healthy and full-term then I hope to have him out of our room by 4 weeks (latest). I bought a breathing sensor pad and baby monitor so I am not too worried about it. I heard it promotes better sleep for everyone...mom, dad and baby. Plus---I plan to have him utilize his crib for naps throughout day anyway so *hopefully* the early transition won't be too bad of one.

Looks like a lot of you made early transitions, which is comforting. DH snores horribly and I am wondering if she will sleep better in her room. DH bought the Angel Care Monitor and has yet to set it up. I am going to push him to get it set up so I can start putting her in for her naps and then see if we can start transitioning from there.

I think about 2.5 weeks...his noises were keeping us both up and it was a very easy transition that early.

I think it was at about 3 weeks, she just didn't like the bassinet, not enough room in there for her. It was a fairly easy transition for all of us.

7 weeks. By then she was only waking up once during the night, and her little noises were keeping us up. A few days after we moved her into her crib she started sleeping 9+ hours every night.

I think 5/6 weeks? We didn't get a bassinet, only a Summer Infant By Your Side Sleeper and she outgrew it by then so crib it was.

Mavrick we never transitioned because he slept in his crib as of day one. Now that our room is in the basement and the nursery upstairs I want to wait until Sienna sleeps 7+ hours before transitioning. She's sleeps 6 hours now so hopefully it's soon. She's 11 weeks old.

6 weeks. LO started to outgrow her bassinet, or I would have waited longer. But it ended up being better for everyone. We all slept better because she wasn't hearing all of our noises and we weren't hearing her noises.

It depends on how he's sleeping (if he's extra fussy we'll put him in his swing, but it's in his room) but he's been in his room in either the swing or his crib since 4 weeks. We found that he actually slept better in his room, probably because it's less noisy. Our dogs sleep in our room and if they get up at night they flap their ears. It was rough the first couple of nights and I slept in the recliner in his room because I thought for sure we were doing the wrong thing but he slept SO well that I got over it pretty quickly! :)

We moved him from his pack and play in our room to his crib in his room at night just after his 1 month appointment. He had been taking naps in his crib from the start though.

3.5 mos and it couldn't have been more perfect timing! He transitioned so well. We were making it a point to play in his room a lot during the day so he was definitely used to that environment

Around 6 or 7 weeks, when we moved to a bigger place and she had her own room. Personally I couldn't wait! Her little noises were keeping me up. Now I check on her in the middle of the night and we are all sleeping well!

It was about 11 weeks, right after I returned to work. Didn't seem to be a big deal to LO. We were still using a swaddle at the time. The swaddle was a much bigger deal than changing to the crib.

For those of you who used a bassinet in your bedroom, when did you transition LO to his or her crib? I am worried if I wait too long, it will get increasingly difficult. Ideally I'd like to make the transition before I go back to work at 12 weeks, otherwise I worry about trying to adjust to both changes. I can already tell it will be a difficult transition for me. I'm sure LO will be fine. lol
