embarrassing pregnancy brain! it never occurred to me to put the sheets away instead of back onto the mattress. HAHA. oh boy. I've also realized that she won't be sleeping in her crib for a couple months anyway...so I'll have to likely rewash before she starts sleeping in there. might as well just wash them now so I can leave the crib all pretty!

maybe I'll try to hold off another week or two on clothes...I'm afraid if I do everything now, I'll be sitting super bored waiting for her arrival!

but @mrskc has a good point, I could always rewash them if I was feeling crazy again!

Maybe it's the capacity of our washer, but I could have fit everything in one load . . . maybe two (if I included the second mattress cover). A lingerie bag (or two!) is nice to keep all the little booties and mittens together, too. :)

I don't think it can be done in a day so maybe start now with the clothing and next week do sheets? You could always sticks the sheets in one of those huge ziplock storage bags until 38w or so

Around 36 weeks. It took me a good week to wash all her clothes, sheets, etc. I don't think it'd be bad to get started around 32 weeks... I was feeling so heavy by 36 weeks that lugging the laundry basket around was a total workout!

I was in labor at 34 weeks and had nothing washed. My BF had to come to our house and wash everything while I
Was in hospital. It ended up not being huge deal since
LO was in hospital for 10 days and all the clothes that were washed were too large for him anyway.

I did it at 37 weeks which was right after both of my baby showers. It was nice to have it all done before I got really huge feeling but I didn't want to do it before my showers because I wanted to wait until we had pretty much everything so I could do full loads instead of partial ones.

37 weeks :):) But if you want do it now! I was HUGE at my 37th week and very uncomfortable so going through all his clothes, washing, folding and putting away was no menial task. If I'd had all his clothes at my 32nd week, I would do it then!

might have put this in the wrong section.

I'm 32 weeks but all of a sudden have a really strong nesting urge as far as baby things go - I feel compelled to have everything ready in that if she came tomorrow, we'd be good.

my mom says not to wash anything until right before I'm due so it doesn't get dusty. this makes sense, I guess, when you consider the changing pads, crib sheets, etc. But her clothes will be in the drawers.

Should I save this as something to do later? How far along were you when you washed everything?
