At 6 months we moved the last feeding to before bath/bedtime so he didn't have the eating to sleep association. But when we started amping up the solids we struggled to do dinner and then do a bottle afterwards. There just didn't seem to be enough time for him to be hungry enough after dinner and were racing around like crazy to get dinner on the table. Our ped was fine with us giving him a sippy of formula with dinner and calling it a day.</p> <p>I would totally recommend going this route. We never had a fight with the night time bottle because it was gone so early. It took a while to break the bed time bottle. </p> <p>E isn't on a bottle and still nurses about every 3 hours while awake. Sometimes more, but he has feeding issues with solids. She gets two 8 oz bottles and two 9 oz bottles plus three meals per day (she eats like 1/2-1 container of puree for breakfast, 1 for lunch, and finger foods for dinner). She isn't consuming a ton of solids I feel like, and really no protein from solids, so I'm not in a hurry to get her off more bottles. I feel like he would eat and drink anything i gave him so i'm not sure when to make the switch. </p> <p>Just some extra info...He doesn't have any teeth yet and so far doesn't love anything with texture (although we are trying). Has been FF from day 1 and is sleeping like a champ (from 6p to at least 6am)</p> <p>Thanks for the input in advance! </p>
