He perfected the art of rolling and had zero interest in crawling. Had me worried sick. Then suddenly, about a week after his first birthday, he woke up from his nap and crawled across the room like he had been doing it for months. Did the same thing with walking at 15 months - no interest and then just walked into the kitchen one afternoon and said hi. Now at 18 months he's running. (And yes, I kinda miss those days of staying in one place!) He gets up on all fours and can take 1-2 steps. I think our wood floors are slippery and slowing him down a little. I know several babies that never crawled! They just scooted then went straight to cruising and walking.</p> <p>Charlie belly crawled at 6 months and real crawled at 7. Olive belly crawled around 8 months I think? But didn't real crawl until 12 months and didn't walk until 18 months. So far he's fine with just using a combo of rolling, scooting his butt, and diving forward to get what he wants, but I'm hoping crawling will come soon!
