She started talking more than signing them. And that's pretty much all we've done he doesn't sign or say please but he does say eat or cheese or cracker when he wants to eat. If she can already communicate to you that she wants more, you might try working on another sign first, such as "please".</p> <p>My son started signing regularly around 10 months. At 13 months, he still seems to forget signs or decide he doesn't want to use them sometimes. As far as other signs, I kind of started slacking so she isn't real consistent with those but does know: water and milk. She just points at what she wants. My LO is 15 months and she will only sign "all done". </p>
