When he first came home he slept in a travel crib in our room but he's such a loud sleeper and the frequent night feeds and diaper changes were not working for my husband so we moved out to the living room for a couple of months. Once he moved, it was an easy transition.</p> <p>This LO will have to be in our room until after we move...which will be when he's at least 3 months old. I was so happy when I moved back into our room, which is literally right next to hers. We had to be so quiet in our room and any noise whether it be opening a closet, taking a shower, brushing teeth, etc, would make the baby stir. So we moved him around that time. She screamed in our bed and in her sidecar sleeper. She just could not be that close to me and not be latched. For three weeks I slept on the couch in the living room with her across the room in the bassinet. Then we moved her into her own room. We kept the side car up until we moved at 9 months. It was a necessity. We kept waking each other up, and his cosleeper was getting too small. I would bring him into our bed every night which isn't the best habit to get into for us. She is 9 weeks tomorrow. For the past week or so she has been taking some of her naps in her crib and that appears to be going fine.</p> <p>My concern is we are taking a trip to CA (from VA) in a 10 days and she will be cosleeping during that trip. She currently sleeps in a moses basket in our room and sometimes cosleeps. H was fighting naps, only sleeping while being held/being worn/in the car/in the swing, and at night I was having a hard time sleeping because she moves so much in her sleep. I was just really, really touched out and her noises, kicks, and punches were waking me up. So we did a bootcamp of sorts: In order to get her to nap, she took every single nap that weekend in the swing. She was very tired. On Sunday, we were going to move her crib into our room, but it wouldn't fit through the door assembled, so I laid her in the crib for a nap with her Wubbanub, and she went to sleep. Totally against the rules and I actively worked to get all that stuff out of her crib again (took about a month of moving blankets farther away and taking one out etc). We put LO in his nursery in his RNP around this time. By the time he was 5 months old, he was outgrowing the RNP, then transitioned to the crib. About a month after that, we sleep trained him. </p>
