She was head down at 31 weeks, breech at 33, and then head down again at 35, and she stayed that way!

Somewhere around 34 weeks? She started head down, then flipped. She flipped back around 34 weeks.

DS1 never turned, I had a scheduled csection right before my due date. But he was breech the entire time and his head was in the 100th percentile!

DS2 was breech at the anatomy scan, but turned head down somtime in the third tri? I have no idea when. But I had a RCS with him at 39 weeks and he was head down.

@Mrs Hedgehog: I think I can feel her better because she seems so far forward in my belly. I literally try to push her back.

Head down between 24-28 weeks. Still there at 39+6.

ETA: I didn't ever feel her flip so baby could surprise you and already be head down.

Securely head down at 32 weeks. But without the sonos I wouldn't have known. I can't feel the difference.

My first never turned on her own. Like @stratosphere, I tried almost everything. Inversions off the couch, spinning babies, acupuncture. Nothing worked until a successful external version at about 38 weeks. The version was scary but in the end I had the birth experience I really wanted. And a very healthy (if stubborn) baby!

28w with LO1.
Like yours my LO2 was all over the place until 34w or so. She turned out to be significantly smaller than LO1 so she just had lots more room to move.

My LO never turned on her own. I did everything you can do at home (inversions, frozen peas on her head and hot compress on my low belly, flashlight on my low belly, burning moxa by my pinky toes, laying upside down on an ironing board propped on our couch...) from 34-37 weeks and no dice.

I had an external cephalic version at 37+0 and baby did successfully turn during the version. But my water broke and placenta abrupted at the same time, so I ended up with an emergency c-section then and there! So much for trying everything to AVOID a c-section!! In the end it was a great birth experience and pretty easy recovery.

Good luck and I hope your baby flips and is less stubborn than mine!

Early, like 24 weeks-ish, both times. They both stayed in the exact same position (head down with back along right side and butt jammed in my ribs) the whole time. My cousin just had an ultrasound at 32 weeks that showed her daughter finally flipped in the last week or two.

When did your baby turn head down and stay there?

Last time I know C did it pretty early and I could feel her position, so I never worried about it. 32 weeks with my second and she is still all over the place and definitely not vertical. Last night I'm pretty sure I felt a head and butt directly horizontal. My next midwife appt is next week so I will ask then, but curious how it went for others. Or if they didn't turn head down on their own, what happened? Did you do acupuncture, spinning babies, to encourage it?

Did a forward inversion on the couch tonight so by the morning she should be right in position right?
