They never liked purees, so we did blw. I don't remember when we first started, it's been a while. But I noticed at different points that he would start doing that again. I think it is because at different times their tongue reflex and gag reflex move and change. We've been doing a mix of chunky homemade purees and BLW. He was happy enough to play with stuff and maybe swallow some of it but really only seemed to "like" frozen fruit in his silicone feeder or banana. Just recently around 7.5 months he acts excited to see the tray coming and intentionally ingests significant amounts of food, so we've added a meal. So far she's hated sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots, but banana was a hit.
