@birdofafeather: same! Ds1 was always heads down, found out at 19 wks ds2 was head down but didn't worry since it was so early. Once the movements picked up I knew he was head down due to hiccups but there were times I thought he may be transverse. At 36 wks I had my first cervical check and confirmed he was head down although i think my on knew that prior to that day. Good luck!!

My second baby was breeched. He was head down till about 20 weeks ... I totally felt him flip and he never flipped back. I had a successful inversion right before my planned c-section (due to the breech position) which the quickly induced my labor so I can give birth vaginally but I then had an emergency c-section for other reasons.

I was really fearful of the c-section but that part wasn't bad at all. :)

I hope your baby flips! I just wanted to let you know that it's not the end of the world if your baby doesn't flip back.

2 breech babies and neither ever flipped. Both were firmly wedged in butt down and never moved.

30 Week appointment - internal check - still sitting upright in my stomach
32 Week appointment - no internal - doc could feel her head under my rib cage area
34 week appointment - internal check - doc said "cervix is totally thin and I can feel her head right there"

I never felt the movement - though a few people did comment that I "dropped" in those weeks between 32-34.

Baby was breech until about 24 weeks, then transverse (sideways) until about 30. She's been firmly head-down since then. If she hadn't flipped by about 32 weeks, the midwife talked about the 'Spinning Babies' book and website - I guess there are some tips and tricks to help flip a breech baby.

I want more people to answer this poll. I am at 26 weeks and that is plenty of time for her to flip, but I am still wondering at what point I should be concerned...

Baby boy is currently hanging out in the breech position. Not a huge deal since I'm 19 weeks along and he has a ton of time to flip. My midwife said that 99% of breech babies flip on their own before birth, so not to worry about it right now. I was just wondering on when they like to make that flip! I love feeling him move, but the kicks to the cervix are getting just a wee bit old! So when did your breech baby make the move?
