No joke. DS was sunny side up until about 26 hours into labor. She thinks he probably turned when he was already in the birth canal and that it messed with his neck and back so being in the car seat put pressure on his back. DS2 didn't mind his bucket as much but generally seemed happier when we moved him to the convertible. </p> <p>2 months is a bad time in general for kiddos. I might just push through for another month and see if it's still bad then. Even better when she could put it back in her own mouth.</p> <p>DS doesn't take a pacifier but he doesn't seem to mind the car these days. He likes to look at himself in the mirror or out the window. My coworker gave me a tip that helped a ton. I would keep a bottle of gripe water and a few binkys in my cup holder and dip one into the gripe water. The taste distracted him from screaming and kept him more interested in sucking on it. Whenever he dropped it, I would just redip another one. It really really helped! There was so much screaming for so long and nothing really helped. I had a 3yo who had to go to preschool etc and I just don't do well never leaving the house so I also got used to it!! </p> <p>We always tried singing and talking to him but I think he just felt scared and alone since he couldn't see anyone. Actually sometimes I would hold his hand if I wasn't the driver (rare) and that would help if I could touch him. She screams basically every time she is in the car. we leave the house at least 2x a day cause I also have a one year old who gets stir crazy in our tiny apartment so it's a lot of loud. My first loved driving in the car so I'm at a loss of what to do. I've tried all the tips I've read here: taking out the infant insert, playing music, white noise, burping well, etc etc. I'm just at the acceptance level now haaaa. So now I'm wondering how long I have of this crazy? When did your car seat hating baby stop being such a hater? </p> <p>(feel free to share more tips tho also) </p>
