LO1 had an egg allergy and currently has a tree nut allergy. We would tell him constantly how eggs were bad for him and they hurt him and not to touch or eat them. It was a real concern when we took him for his egg challenge to see if he had grown out of it. He got really upset with us and told us that he can't eat eggs because they hurt him. This kid is a garbage disposal. He licked a handful of sunblock this past weekend and wasn't even upset about the flavor. I've also recently caught him eating bugs and chewing rocks. I thought we were done with the put everything in the mouth phase. Lol. She just turned 3 and has opted to become a vegetarian and will ask the origin of everything she eats to check that it doesn't contain meat. You might be closer than you think! She’s 4 now but I’d say she has understood it since 3.5.
