For my first pregnancy I never was exhausted. With number two it went away basically around 10-12 weeks and now with number three I am 17 weeks and still soooo tired!

I didn't start feeling "normal" energy wise until around 20 weeks, but unfortunately that normal feeling only lasted a couple of weeks and I'm toast again!

@mfa_lady: Yeah, I'm almost 24 weeks and still want to go pass out. Except I'm having trouble falling asleep all of a sudden, and baby girl loves to kick my already smaller than average bladder, so I get up to pee 5-10 times a night. I do have times when I'm less tired though!

It improved somewhat at 14-15 weeks when the nausea went away, but I was pretty tired throughout pregnancy. I felt really good after birth, even though I was getting less sleep, and I have always needed a lot of sleep. I think there must have been a lot of adrenaline going on. I was sometimes in the middle of the night when LO would not go to sleep, but I was fine during the day.

My first pregnancy, I was exhausted until probably 18 weeks but then felt awesome the rest of the pregnancy! I literally was out walking 3 miles in 85 degree weather the day before I gave birth - I had energy for days!

This pregnancy, I was tired until 15ish weeks, and now have been tired again starting at about 29 weeks. I'm sure that that has something to do with chasing around an 11 month old though. :)

@mfa_lady: I agree with @Greentea: LO is 2.5 weeks old and I have hardly slept more than a few hours a night since he was born (granted we are also dealing with a nicu situation which complicates things). I am generally the type of person that requires a solid amount if sleep but there's definitely some super mommy energy that kicks in. Don't worry!

@snowjewelz: Such a good point. I've been wondering if my two closest coworkers/supervisors are catching on because of my zombie-ness. They also know about last year's MC, so it wouldn't come out of nowhere if they did guess. I may tell them after my US in two weeks...I feel like it would make them feel better! Haha.

@lilyann: Good to know! I have no toddlers to chase yet...so maybe there's still hope!

@mfa_lady: That's why I don't even know how one is supposed to hide pregnancy for 3 months! I've been acting like a zombie pretty much! I had to tell my boss at 8 wks b/c I happened to have my review and my boss thought I was either mad at him or unhappy w/ my job lol.

Hang in there, it will get better! I have to say at 10 weeks it's gotten a little better, hopefully it will be gone by 12-14 weeks completely!

@MrsTiz: Ahh, yes! So many people here are pointing out the relation between the nausea and level of exhaustion. That makes me feel better! And yes...I am napping a TON. I'm just so tired it doesn't seem to help! Yesterday, I "worked" from home...which I always do once a week....except now it takes me until 8pm to do all my work because I nap ALL DAY. Oops!

@snowjewelz: I feel like that, too, at 6.5 weeks! My nausea is worse at night and it's really cramping my style. I'm afraid we're going to have to start canceling plans if it gets much worse. UGH!

@mfa_lady: I never really understood why people say that you need to sleep all you can while you are pregnant before the baby comes.. If you have the chance to nap while pregnant, by all means take it! But it's nothing like the first few months with a newborn.

To more seriously answer your question, I think around 14/15 weeks I lost the nausea which to me was a game changer. I really did feel awesome in my second trimester, so there is some truth to that!

@BakerBee: This is a great point--and also so exciting to think about being more aware of things happening in there! Right now, it's tough for both my husband and I to wrap our minds around how I can feel so absurd when I look the same and can't feel any belly business happening. Thanks for the update!
