Yep, around 3-4 months. I offer a few more times but if he keeps unlatching then I just end the session.

My first was a very dedicated nurser. My second, though, is definitely not. She just wants to watch everything that her sister does! Or watch dust floating in the sky. Or whatever....just not nurse :P

3-4 months, and nope it never got better. It got worse and to a point he was completely uninterested in sucking on my breast by 8 months.

Yep! Sometimes she pops off because she wants to see what's going on around her . . . and other times she pops off to blow bubbles/ make raspberry noises and then pops back on!

Miss A contracted the distracted nursing bug at around fifteen weeks which unfortunately coincided with the onset of teething and a partial nursing strike! I can nurse in public if she's reeally hungry but otherwise we either sit upstairs in the nursery or we lie down on the bed.

Yesterday we went to our fortnightly coffee group and I had to nurse LO lying down on their deck!

Absolutely us here too since about 4 months. I turn off my phone and we nurse in her quiet room with no talking or TV. DH really can't be in the room at all since movement makes her pop off and look. Even with all of this she is distracted by just me being here ( my glasses, nose, mouth, hair, shirt etc. lol) her arm is constantly moving.

Mine also started at around 4 months. I would get so mad every time DH started talking to me because LO would pop off the boob (with milk spraying everywhere) and it would take her forever to go back on!

3 or 4 months. It never got any better. She still pops off all the time to chat about something she sees, something the dog is doing, whatever.

Yes, around 3 months she became very distracted. I have to nurse in the corner of her nursery with a blanket over her head and stay very quiet.

Yes! DS is very distractable! It probably started around 7 months but got really bad around 8 or 9 and sadly he can still be this way. DH and I can barely have a conversation when I am nursing. Sometimes I give him something to hold to keep him occupied . (DS is almost 1!)

Yeah, starting around 4.5 months? The only time I can keep him focused is late at night when it's completely dark in the room. Even when I bring him to bed with me to nurse in the morning DH's nose/beard/sleeping bag/whatever is more interesting (much to DH's sleepy chagrin :) We do lots of shorter nursing sessions during the day now.

LO is only 3 months but she gets distracted if I try to nurse with a cover. She bats at the cover. That was fun on the plane today : )

My LO is bottle fed but does the same thing. It's been going on since about 4 months or even earlier, and we are at 5.5 months now and it's still pretty bad. Sometimes in the evenings before bed I feed her on a rocking chair which seems to get her to focus on feeding. The tv, talking in the room, etc all distract her. :(

LO is just about 6 months old and she has become very distracted while nursing. If someone talks, there is music playing or she catches a glimpse of the TV she has to pull away to check it out. Was/is your LO a distracted nurser? When did it start and did it ever get better?
