DS was 5 and doing his 2nd year of pre-K (he missed the cut off for K). He would nap here and there and it was totally messing up bedtime so I had to put an end to it - no more naps -bedtime was much easier!

I hope/imagine DD will nap until 5 as well - she is 3.5 and is hit or miss these days but def still needs one!

Charlie dropped his nap when he started public pre-k at 3 3/4 because he couldn't sleep in class though they had a 1 hour rest time. Probably too much excitement. He did continue to nap pretty regularly on the weekends throughout age 4. And now at almost 5 he will take a nap occasionally, but for the most part he doesn't nap anymore.

Olive dropped her nap one month before she turned 3 when she started a new preschool. She still needs it, but I think there is too much going on there for her to sleep. Plus we were always pushing her schedule around since she has an older brother. She does nap on Saturdays, but it is increasingly becoming a battle as she's used to not napping anymore.

Both Charlie and Olive were huge nappers....3+ hours.
