He'd put his dirty clothes in the hamper and his diaper in the garbage. By June, when she was 16 months, she could follow really complex directions (put this in trash can, put away something). It's really amazing how much they know! We started letting him throw his own diaper away. I would say she was consistent at 13 months. From then on she's only gotten better. She can do almost anything I ask her at this point. If we say let's go change your diaper, she walks back to her room. It's bath time, and she walks back to the bathroom. A few hours later he was off somewhere in the apartment but the cup was on the table. I was totally shocked! He's almost 18 months now and helps me switch laundry to the dryer, hang cloth diapers on the drying rack and put the dishes away from the dishwasher. He executes simple commands like "put your laundry in the hamper" when we are in the bedroom and it's right there. </p> <p>Mind blown! </p>
