We'd put things on her tray and she'd pick it up, then drop it and then open her mouth for us to feed it to her. She started feeding herself at like 9 months 4 days. One meal she wouldn't, the next morning she went all out. He'll pick up a baby "cookie" and suck on it and will pick up puffs but won't eat them. He will gobble down purees like there is no tomorrow but anything remotely solid he purses his lips tighter than clamshell and turns his face away. She will with Mum Mums and Bananas. Otherwise she wants us to feed her. We tried broccoli and turkey lunch meat yesterday and she just played with it. I put some in her mouth and she would eat it. Then I put a banana on the tray and she gobbled it up. She doesn't have her pincer grasp down great yet, so maybe that is it. She is 8 months today. </p>
