We bought him a balance bike for his 3rd birthday, which he mastered this past summer. He also rides tricycles at school, and he has the strength to pedal with the heaviest 2 seater tricycle with a friend sitting in the back. He adjusted well to the real bike but was kind of scared of falling initially. He loves being able to go super fast. LO has a metal tricycle but it doesn't steer well at all and she can barely reach the pedals because of how it's made. She will be 4 at the end of this next summer and I think it's time she gets a "real" bike. We would hopefully get it at the beginning of the summer so she could get some use out of it, but not sure if it will be too frustrating for her, like the tricycle is. </p> <p>When did your LO get their first bike, and did they learn to ride it pretty easily? </p>
