Thanks for all the replies! As of today, she still only took one nap. Really hoping this is just a phase. I guess I can't force the extra nap if she doesn't want it though...sigh.

For us, LO dropped the third nap around 8 months, and right now at 12 months is firmly in the two nap camp, at 1.5 hrs per nap. I hope he doesn't drop it for a looooooong time, because I love being able to go out in the early afternoons with him! :)

@Mrs. Pen: i think the average age to drop it is between 14-15 months. charlie could have gone on taking 2 naps for a while longer, and i really missed that morning nap when it was gone! that was a tough adjustment. but then it was awesome because we could go to so many places. and i couldn't wait for olive to drop to one nap so she could be on the same schedule with charlie. when she was on 2, we were always putting one of them down for a nap! now they both go down and we get a little break. phew and we need it since we usually do something very active in the mornings!

I was coming on here to post this question and figured I would search for it first.

J is 15 months and showing no signs of dropping to one nap. I like it this way! He still takes a morning and afternoon nap and each is 1.5 hours, sometimes even 2! He has always slept more than the "average" baby.

@Mrs. Bee: @Mrs. High Heels: I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with a 12 mos+ who is still on two naps.

At least one day a week at daycare, he takes only 1 nap, but on those days he is pretty overtired.

At home, he's been pushing his awake times crazy far. He can go 3.5/4 hours before his morning nap and then doesn't act at all tired for his afternoon nap, so that's becoming later and later. If he slept in til 7 or so, I think he could be on 1 nap. Alas, he wakes at 5:30.

He's 12 months and I'm going to try to keep him on 2 naps for a few more months.

At 13 months P is now consistently taking only 1 nap a day. Before 12 months though I wouldn't let her (she tried a couple times). The max wake time for bebes younger than that just want long enough for her to really be able to maintain a 1 nap a day schedule.

Around 10.5 months, LO started refusing her morning nap. She did great with one nap for 2-3 weeks, then went back to two naps that are better and more consistent than they ever were before. Maybe it's just a phase?

LO is only 8.5 months old and for the past few days she has been refusing her morning nap. She is acting like she only wants to take her 2pm nap. It seems a bit early to be dropping down to one nap...but what do I know! If she in fact only wants this one nap, maybe I should aim for 1:00/1:30 instead?

When did your LO drop down to one nap?
