It just happened naturally for us. Then she didn't drop to one nap until 22 months. It happened over the last couple of weeks and she did it on her own. On the weekends now she takes two long naps instead of 3 shorter ones. She's having a harder time during the week because she sucks at napping at daycare...it's either 2 or 3 short naps. LO is 6 months and her naps are still all over the place and depend on what time she wakes up for the day and how long her naps are. Once in awhile she will have two long naps but more often she has 3 naps, and sometimes 4! What I have tried to do to get 2 naps more often is to extend the awake time between the 1st and 2nd nap to 3hrs. Her first nap usually runs about 30 minutes, second 45 min to an hour &amp; usually her last nap is 1.5 to 2 hours.
