We've been really inconsistent in feeding her solids since it's been just for "fun" (and solids introduced weird poop issues, but that's another story) and I think she doesn't get that we feed her and just wants to play with the spoon. She will turn her head to the side, bat my hands away, fuss, arch her back etc. If I put the same piece of food on her tray or hold it out in my hand she will eat it that way. I think it's so funny, but some things are really hard for her to feed herself. I guess I just let her try! My oldest LO went through this phase too but she was closer to 1.5, and as long as she could mostly feed herself she would let me help out. </p> <p>Did your LO ever insist on feeding themselves? How old were they? </p>
