We only received 2 newborn outfits so we started out using 0-3 month clothes. We transitioned to the 3-6 month clothes when DD was 6 months old; mainly because she was too long for the 0-3m footed pajamas by then. She continues this trend of staying in a size below what her age would suggest given that she is currently 27m and still wears 18m clothes and occasionally some 12m sized although those end up looking like capris.

@zippylef: ditto
Around the 2/3 week mark. They were just too short for her and tight too. I like her clothes to have room because she loves to kick! People got us so much NB clothes that LO never even wore!
She's 9 weeks and we have her in 6month sleepers.

Between 2 and 3 weeks. She was starting into 3-6 but 8-9 weeks because she outgrew things lengthwise.

DD fit in newborn up to 6 weeks and then transitioned to 0-3. She's now 9 weeks and we are almost on our way out of 0-3 clothing! She is a tall baby though, and was 23 inches at 6 weeks!

As a newborn he wore NB and 0-3. Now at 6 weeks he fits 0-3, outgrew all the NB, and already fits some of his 3-6.

We never used newborn size. 0-3 month clothes were a little big at first, but LO outgrew them in length at around 2 months. We would have gotten very little use out of them if we had used newborn size first.

Yea!! How exciting! We are still in preemie clothes. I'm hoping to move LO to newborn in the next few weeks. Our LO is 1 month old.

DS has outgrown some of the footed newborn stuff and fits into a few 0-3 sizes but probably won't fit into that stuff well for another few weeks. At 6.5 wks hea just over 8 lbs ; )

We didn't have much newborn stuff, so we put her in 0-3 month clothes by week 3 or 4. They were really big on her at first. Now she's 3 months old today, and some of the 0-3 month stuff is getting a bit tight, so I've started pulling out some of her 3-6 month clothes.

Probably around 6 weeks he started wearing some 0-3 month clothing. He's now growing out of those here at 11 weeks. He has a long torso, so hes got a little room in the sides, but he needs the length. But he's got short legs and is thin, so it'll be a while before he's in 3-6 month shorts. He's mostly in 3-6 month onesies, though,, and is close to a size 2 diaper. So sad.

We made the transition today to 3 month old onesies for our son! He'll be 9 weeks old tomorrow! We probably could/should have done it a couple of weeks ago, but we tried to get a little more mileage out of the newborn size.
