My LO is 17m and still isn't much of a talker at all. I know it's hard not to compare. It's hard to see my friends' kids that are around Sadie's age talking in small sentences or counting or whatever, while Sadie is still calling the bath a "ba" or not even saying "please." BUT... Is it when they say it unprompted and in the correct context? If we are talking about things, if it's a word LO recognises and can say, she will copy it...for example Tree, Car, Pear and some colours and other people's names.
