I swear she says "hey" when meeting or gretting someone, "hi dad" when DH gets home or wakes up, "who's that" when looking at a picture or in the mirror, and "teddy" when she sees her teddy bear or her "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear" book. She is 8.5 months. Mama followed shortly after around 8 months... </p> <p>M. is different. At 10 month she says gog for dog and that's about it. She can imitate "hi" but would never say it on her own and says "mama" but I don't think she means me (yet). She's also said "dada" but doesn't quite get who it is. She'll get there. I don't think he correlates what he is saying to anything though. He knows who mama and dada are it seems but can't articulate the words himself. </p> <p>When did your LO say words and mean why he/she was saying? </p>
