Before that, he'd sometimes pick books up and bring them to me to read. He asks regularly now (2.5 yrs), and that's been going on for a while. </p> <p>I wouldn't worry about multi-tasking. LO went through several "phases" during which he didn't really concentrate much on our reading sessions, particularly between 6mos-1yr. He wasn't really up for anything other than one short board book at a time then, so we read those in short sessions and eventually his attention span lengthened.
