We transitioned him to a floor bed at around 18 months with a gate around it and he's tried to climb out of that but with no success. My daughter is a lot more adventurous so she may actually try to climb out of her crib. Her crib is so low and the bars so high that she would have to be really strong to literally pull herself up and over. She also sleeps in a sleep sack which limits her mobility. He loved the freedom of getting in and out of bed. Of course that changed up our sleep schedule, and he never wanted to stay in bed! Then he was able to climb out with the sleep sack so we transitioned him to a normal bed.</p> <p>Olive will be 2 soon, and she's so cautious I doubt she will try to climb out of her crib.... ever? At least not until she's 3! So she will probably be in her crib for a while (though it does transition into a toddler bed).</p> <p>When did your LO first climb out? </p>
