DS1 is 3 and has never really been difficult. He doesn't sleep much but even so he's pretty easy. He's never thrown tantrums and basically just listens.

DS2 is 16 months old and he is more difficult than his brother. I think he's a normal toddler, but we didn't have to deal with tantrums and getting into everything with his brother. DS1 has spoiled us.

Um.... 12 months? DD1 has always been .... "difficult"... but now that she's older, it's easier because we can talk it out more than we could when she was a toddler. DD2 hasn't hit that stage yet, and I'm really hoping she doesn't.

LO was not an easy baby so in some ways - from birth! I was so happy to get out of the colicky newborn stage. Except for some rough separation anxiety and persistent sleep issues, I would say 6-14 months was great. About 11-14 months when she was mostly STTN and a happy baby was really great! Then around 15 months she started having tantrums but they subsided when she had a language explosion.

Recently though (23 months) we are headed straight for the terrible twos. So far I am mostly able to be patient with her even though she can be really difficult. Comparing her to other toddlers she is a lot feistier to put it nicely. But I feel like it could always be worse ;)

18m-2y, then again by 2.5 or so, and even worse at 3. She is SO strong willed. I can only hope that translates to good things in the future!

Recently, actually, at 2.5ish. I've noticed just the past two weeks that he has been increasingly difficult during our morning routine to get ready for daycare. I used to be able to get us ready in less than 30 mins and he was silly and fun and we just had a good time. Now, I have to fight him tooth and nail to get dressed, brush his teeth, put away his toys and get his coat and shoes on. All the while he whines and flails and tries to say "no daddy help" only to have daddy come and he say "NO MOMMY HELP".

It's been such a battle. I'm sure this is only a glimpse of what's to come, and I'm so not looking forward to it.

My DD was great until age 5, that was the worst year ever. She's better now as a 7 yr old. My 4 yr old DS has been pretty good so far. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.

LO1 had a really rough year at 3, and it was a struggle for the both of us. Turning 4 was like flipping a switch. My LO returned back to almost normal. LO2 was a great baby, and then he started becoming mobile and having a very strong personality. Right now he decided to throw all of the toys out of unknown anger to me. Sigh.

Shortly after three we had some real issues (insane tantrums). We finally figured out that she wasn't getting enough sleep. Once we resolved that, the tantrums and her overall attitude improved.

We also adjusted our schedules a bit, balancing out everyone's responsibility a bit better and certainly improving my relationship with her.

DD1 became a total moody, tantrumy threenager right around 3. DD2 almost immediately started mimicking, and is now 16 months going on 13 years....tantrums when ache doesn't get what she wants, pushing/hitting me when she's mad, and pulling her sister's hair for attention. She's less emotional overall, just has her little fits of rage. Eeek!

Difficulty comes in waves with my toddler. Around 12 months, he was a gladiator putting on diapers. 18 months, he had some bad tantrums. 2 years old felt like a giant tantrum. We're just starting 3's. He's so opinionated and talks back. Timeouts and restrictions are still effective. Adding a sibling at 3 years old adds to the tantrums too.

Alice has been difficult since approximately 4.5 hrs before she was born, when she was good and stuck and refused to come out. She's been varying degrees of difficult since then. We generally say that she's always had a lot of feelings and has never been shy about expressing herself. Her twin brother has his moments, but generally he isn't difficult at all. They're only 16 months, so we obviously have a long way to go!

At 4.5, DD is starting to be a little difficult. I think her little brother triggers her bad behavior. The first 4 years of her life were 👍🏻👍🏻
DS is 3 months shy of 3 and so far so good.

When Charlie turned 3, he became so difficult. He's almost 6 now and we've had ups and downs over the past 3 years, but he has definitely challenged us and still continues to do so.

Olive used to throw some pretty monster tantrums when she was a toddler, but because she was delayed we had way more patience for them. In the past couple of months (she's almost 4), she has become so naughty! She used to be soooo sweet. Now she doesn't listen and Charlie can't resist joining in her shenanigans.

I would say my patience is tried the most right now!
