When our ped asked me if DD had stranger anxiety (at 4 months) I thought it was too early. But really, he only seems to freak out around older women who are in his face (I.e. my mom and MIL). We had been away from family for a month and went home to visit. He cried when my grandpa tried to hold him! When she's fussy, she definitely prefers me or DH. I was actually kind of hoping for some stranger anxiety to set in around now as bad as that sounds. :/ Only because DH's big family Christmas get together is coming up, and I know a lot of them (who we barely even know and have never even spoken to me) are going to want to hold her and pass her around the whole time, and that'd be a nice excuse to give her a break from it all. He developed pretty severe separation anxiety and now when we leave him (grandmas) he cries the entire time as well.
