She's getting the hang of it. I'm in no rush. It can sometimes take them a while to figure out sippies and straws, especially if there is a valve. One tip I've heard is removing the valve of a sippy at first so the water dribbles out more, then putting it back after a while when they realize they can get something out of it and drink. </p> <p>Anyway, I like the Zoli Bot so far. Very flexible straw. We didn't try the straw cup until after a year. Lo can only drink out of it if we hold it for her and tilt it up for her. I went to look at straw sippy cups and they all said 12+ months. Lo is only 6 1/2 months. Should we just wait for her to get a hang of her sippy or try the straw? I'm kind of worried she'll poke an eye out! </p>
