By 17 months he could unlock it. By 20 months he got out of guided access. My niece left her iPad at my moms house during a party and my bil accused someone of stealing it. No..... We don't have thieves as guests at our house. 7 year olds just aren't going to be able to be responsible. </p> <p>Right now I don't think lo is responsible enough either. She tends to throw things on the ground when she's done. Its too expensive to risk it. Plus I just don't want her on it.... LO had a phase around 24 months where she rarely went on for a month or so. I'm sure there are lots of people that will warn you about limiting screen time etc and we do too. We only let him use it to watch shows on the PBS app and occasionally Netflix. It's amazing to see how fast kids catch on to technology. Now he loves it so I have to limit the time he spends on it. He's allowed to watch one youtube clip a day.
