Mine used to put EVERYTHING in her mouth. She is 27 months and still occasionally does it but mostly stopped since she turned 2. Of course she only chooses the dangerous stuff when she still does it these days. The last couple things I caught (back in the fall, so between 24-26 months) were a small rock and a bead that about the size of a quarter.

I think around 11 months when DD started walking she was less interested in putting everything in her mouth. I think I started noticing the decrease in frequency as early as probably 10 months! She def still does it at 13 mo but waaaay less.

I think both kids stopped putting things in their mouth a few months after they turned 1. It's nice not to have to worry about small toys anymore.

I want to say it was a little after 18 months for DD2 (I can't remember for DD1). I was SO happy to be out of that stage.

My oldest LO almost never put anything in her mouth, so when I had LO2 and realized she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, it kind of made me anxious. She's going on 2 and anything with small pieces is on the top shelf of the closet. I'm really paranoid about it, but hoping she will grow out of it soon. Was there a magic age where your LO just stopped putting things in their mouth? Even bigger things...
