My 3 year old is still in one. When we don't use a booster he tends to have trouble reaching the table and that makes it hard for him to sit still. He'll be on his knees, then standing, then leaning, then falling off the chair. We'll stop using the booster once he can sit still in a regular chair.

DD is 2.5 and still in a booster. I plan to keep her in it as long as possible. When she isn't in it she just wants to get up and move.

At home, my kids (2.5 and 4.5) eat at a small table - we currently have a bar height table that is just a little tricky for them...plus they are so messy that they were destroying it, which was really frustrating for DH. We usually don't eat as a family due to DH's work schedule; I'll sit near them while they eat their dinner in the evenings.

My 4.5 year old still pitches a fit about wanting a high chair at restaurants...we generally make her sit in a regular chair, or sometimes a booster, unless she's having a true issue reaching the table.

DS loves his high chair!! We had to actually kick him out of it when DD was old enough to sit in it (at home). If we're at public restaurants, DS will ask for a high chair even though he's 3.5 now! Only time he doesn't, is if we're sitting in a booth. He's actually getting too big to fit into them, but he insists and gets upset if we try to dissuade him otherwise. Silly boy.

She is almost 4 and still uses her booster most nights. Just depends on her mood if she wants it or not.

LO announced that she was too big for her booster right after her 3rd birthday. We let her try it and had no issues. We just have the FP booster so that had been her only chair.

3.5. We did a few months without a booster but just recently reinstituted it. He was getting sleepy or silly during meals and falling out of his chair which made us super nervous. It also was causing problems with him getting up during meals.

I'd honestly do a booster at home for as long as the kid will let you!!

Around 2.5. She started refusing to sit in the booster--I wish she still did, now it's a constant battle to get her to stay put and eat her food!

My LOs are 6 and 3 and still sitting on their Tripp Trapps, which act as a booster since you can adjust the seat height.

We went to a booster at 20 months and nothing by 2.5. It wasn't worth the fight to make her sit in the booster.

2 and still uses high chair 90%
Some times she asks to sit at the table
I'll probably get her a booster soon as DS will take her high chair in a few months

My LO will be 3 in March and is still sitting in a booster at the dining room table. We have a high top table, so I haven't tried her out on just a chair yet. She sits in just chairs other places like at my parents or restaurants, with no issues. She is pretty petite though so maybe the extra height of the booster is helpful.

When did you let your LO sit in a regular chair? What made you decide to do it?
